Fenced cups – Carrer Torres i Amat

There are many fonts visible in any town or city, and Barcelona is no exception. Today I have selected a handful of funky fonts for you, mostly from around Ciutat Vella – enjoy!

What do you think of the fenced cups( above)? Simple, but very effective use of an everyday object for a temporary installation. I like.

Ethnic wood – Carrer Assaonadors

Or the wooden slats (above) with their very decorative big tacks? Reminds me of henna patterns, or dots on printed sari fabric, and also makes me think of Morocco for some reason. And there are more examples after the page break…
