Muchafibra – Carrer Carretes 13

Tucked deep into el Raval, on a street that once used to be rather drab, but these days is alive with hanging plants on every building (thanks to a certain French lady, who I will mention in a bit) you can find Muchafibra, an experimental textile and production center for fashion designers.

See for yourself, and after the slideshow I’ll tell you a bit more…

Showroom and studio

On Carrer Palma de Sant Just number 12 the Name showroom and studio is located, and it is there that I took the images of this post. The range includes ladies’ knits and woven items, as well as the recent addition of men’s knits (below).

Made by Irene’s grandfather

The theme of this year’s A/W collection is ‘wood’, and as with all the Name themes, occurred spontaneously, when Irene and Clara decided to use the pegs that Irene’s grandfather had made (above) as inspiration.
