Today I am inviting you to travel, to observe some lives on the route. Do you like the sound of that? It’s going to be a short trip, a trip to Kowasa, a shop on Carrer Mallorca 235 that specialises in photography books, and which regularly hosts photography exhibits.
Yesterday evening saw the opening of an exhibition of photos by Federico Frangi, who travelled almost 6,000 km on a motorbike (!!) from Delhi to the kingdom of Bhutan, all the way across Nepal and Sikkim, to record snippets of daily life there with his 35 mm and medium format (analog) Rollei cameras.
Originally from Argentina, Federico has been a Barcelona resident for many years, and worked for quite some time as a graphic designer. But since a motorcycle trip in the Northern part of India (Ladhak) in 2009 he has dedicated himself exclusively to photography.
