After all the hullabaloo of yesterday’s demonstrations and effusive displays of Catalanism sentiments on the streets of Barcelona, today it is time to head indoors. We’ve been invited to take a peek inside the home of Ferenz (journalist) and Hernán (graphic designer), two super nice guys who are from the Netherlands and Argentina respectively and have been living in Barcelona for a considerable time.
So, are you coming? Let’s go! BCN @ Home: Ferenz + Hernan’s
Ferenz and Hernán live in the Eixample district of Barcelona, in a gorgeous residential building on a leafy street, in a converted apartment with very frilly ceilings in pastel colours. Remnants of the “more is more” style in fashion at the time in which their home was built. I asked them a bit about their place…
How long have you lived in your home? Almost a year.
How many m2 does your home have? 60 m2.
What do you like best about your home? The large amount of sunlight and the floor tiles.
Which famous person (dead or alive) would you love to invite for dinner? and why? Evita Perón. What would you serve for dinner? Argentine beef!
What kind of music do you listen to while chillaxing? Pink Martini.
How would you describe your decorative style? Modern modernist.
Please recommend a place for good coffee/wine/food in your area. Moro Fi for vermouth with friends (http://morrofi.wordpress.com/bar-vermuteria-morro-fi/).
I really like Ferenz + Hernán’s place. The decor is simple and far from cluttered, but there are lots of personal details and nick knacks that reflect the personality and origin of each of these lovely guys. What do you think? Did you enjoy this peak into a Barcelona home? I hope you did, for I havw more in store for you…
