It is a well-known fact, that buildings constructed at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries in Barcelona were embellished with a range of techniques which were popular at the time. But there are also buildings, such as the Caixa Forum building, a former factory designed by architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, where the embellishments are mostly found in the way the bricks that make up the skin of the building were laid. And there are more…
Isn’t it wonderful, how the ‘humble’ brick can add so much beauty to a building? It would be great if constructors today would take note from these gorgeous examples and apply them in their new projects!
great pictures!
Thanks very much!!
