Today I’m kick-starting a new section which will be dedicated to showing people at home. People who for some reason interest me and make me want to take a peak into their personal space…
At the base of Tibidabo mountain, in a ground floor flat she shares with an Italian couple, Eva lives and works in her small, yet delightful universe, and is preparing to soar high.
Just over a year ago she launched her first collection of shoes, which she designed here, at her desk.
Preferring to ‘cut & paste’ bits and pieces from various prototypes to designing with pencil and paper, Eva has surrounded herself with both her inspirational tear-outs and her personal things…
… and drawing from her background (she comes from Ubrique, where everyone works with leather) as well as her knowledge and experience as a designer, she creates gorgeous shoes, which are handmade in Elda for her brand EVA VS. MARIA.
A peak into her world…
Her first collection was well received, and she is currently selling in Barcelona, Bilbao, Zaragoza, Coruña and Berlin, while more shops from both Spain and overseas are contacting her with requests for orders for the new season.
I’m going to keep an eye on EVA VS. MARIA, for there are some interesting projects in the pipeline, and I think Eva is going to do really well. I hope she will, in any case, for she has enormous potential…
… a powerful personality and a very feminine yet gutsy style that makes her designs stand out from all that is available out there.
Just check out her shoes, and see if you would disagree with me!
Gorgeous, aren’t they? Conceived in the House of Love! Thanks Eva for welcoming me into your home, and sharing your world with us. I wish you the best of luck with EVA VS. MARIA!
Check out Eva’s website and Facebook page for news and details of her collections, and if you want to buy any of her shoes, go to this page for information.
