Hello! How about some paper portraits today? Some are drawn, others stenciled, and yet others are photographs, yet they can all be found while walking around Barcelona. Fancy joining me for a tour of portraiture? Let’s go!
We can find a tattoo-ed Olive Oyl on Carrer Ciutat, looking as flirty as ever, and on Carrer de la Lleona, a rather bashful girl, in black and white…
… the very gorgeous Carmen Miranda, a delightful stencil by BToy, can be found on Carrer del Triangle in the Born, and an intense looking Chinese Empress back in the barri Gòtic, on Baixada de Viladecols…
… a doe-eyed lady, with tribal tattoos (or make-up) on her face, was previously visible on Carrer del Carme, just a couple of blocks away from the Cute Suite, but she is now no longer there. However the very pretty Japanese girl with her leather aviator cap, can still be spotted not far from there, on Carrer Riera Baixa.
Mr. Lolailo (I call him that lovingly, because of his polka dot shirt) peers at us nearsightedly through his old glasses on Carrer de Jerusalem, and last but not least (for today), around a few corners, to the side of the Macba, a group of people, young and old, smiling and serious, have gathered together to fight for their dreams…
Did you enjoy this little portraiture tour? I hope so! In any case, I love all of these paper portraits, and will continue to be on the lookout for more.
