Today is Good Friday, and I’m taking things easy, so I will leave you with images of various nooks and crannies at the castle on Montjuïc, an old fortress that has been remodeled a few times, and which in past centuries served to protect the city from attacks, but was also used to bomb the city, as well as a prison during the civil war. Enjoy!
After a ceremonial reconquering of the fortress by Barcelona’s citizens some years ago, these days the castle is a cultural centre, open to the public on most days, and a place well worth visiting for its history, interesting nooks and crannies, and the views of both Barcelona and the sea. Have a great Easter weekend, everyone!!
