Carrer Notariat

Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? I certainly hope so. Yesterday was the 11th of September, which is a big day here, in Catalunya: La Diada de Catalunya, or National Day of Catalonia.

It is a day during which there are communist and anarchic political demonstrations, concerts and so-called celebration events, and nationalist sentiment runs very high.

I do not wish to enter into any kind of political debate on my blog, but the images of the city and its people, kitted out with various nationalist flags is delightful, so I leave you with a photographic impression of what it was like to walk around town yesterday. Enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed this post, as much as I enjoyed taking pictures for it! I’ll be back tomorrow, with more Barcelona loveliness. See you then!
