Carrer Veguer

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I am going to show you details of these old doors (the oldest I have seen so far, in Barcelona) which can be found just off Plaça del Rei, in the Barri Gòtic. They may be old and weathered, but they are still there, defying time, unbeaten, and proudly guarding the shop that is housed on the premises.

Weathered

Despite woodworm and the obvious signs of weathering, these doors are a testimony to the great workmanship of the crafts people who made their components many years ago, when quality was a priority and embellishment applied whenever possible.

Symmetry (almost)

Have a great week, everyone! May it be filled with beauty and quality…
