Archway to calm
On days when the sun beats down on us mercilessly and we find ourselves in need of a large dose of shade, wouldn’t it be great to be able to sit for a while in an oasis of coolness and calm? Come with me. I know just the place!
Luckily for us, there is a garden in the Barri Gòtic, somewhat hidden away in one of its busier streets. It lies behind a hotel on Carrer Boqueria 12, but has public access, so anyone can just walk in and take solace under its leafy trees…

Cute seating areas are dotted around this delightful garden, and there is plenty of space, so take a seat and take a load off!
It’s also very pretty at night, when the lights are on, creating an ethereal atmosphere – but public access is restricted in the evenings, so you’d better ask at the lobby if you’re heading over at night-time.
